Goodman Roaster's founder, Atsuomi Ito, fell in love with Taiwanese coffee beans and opened a shop in Taipei more than ten years ago, dedicated to promoting Alishan coffee. He only harvests 400 kilograms of Alishan coffee beans a year, without using pesticides or chemical fertilizers. The coffee beans are picked by hand to confirm their maturity, and are shipped after three hand-selections. He was awarded 84 points by the American Coffee Quality Association.
