cafe marble was founded in the summer of 2007. The design firm Marble.co opened this coffee shop in a 120-year-old machiya office. The store design and decoration were all done by the firm's employees. The earthen space in the inner courtyard and atrium retains the unique charm of machiya, and the coffee shop also uses only antique furniture. The bear painted on the store's plaster wall has since become a Cafe Marble trademark.
